Papers consist of drafts, working copies, and published editions of two chemistry manuals for nursing students written by Grace Keller Jones. The first manual, Chemistry Experiments for Nursing Students, by Grace Keller Jones and Lorraine R. Hayes, was first published in 1952 with subsequent revised editions in 1954 and 1956. The book was written for use in course Nursing 121-122 (Chemistry), a course taught by Jones at the University of Buffalo. The second manual, Experimental Chemistry for Student Nurses, by Grace Keller Jones, was published by W.B. Saunders, Co., and first copyrighted in 1959. It was written for use as a chemistry laboratory manual for student nurses. Also included is correspondence between Jones and Edwards Brothers, Lithoprinters -- the lithographers of Chemistry Experiments for Nursing Students; as well as correspondence with Clarence O. Wheeler, Nursing Editor for W.B. Saunders, Co.-- the publishers of Experimental Chemistry for Student Nurses.
